Keren Mail lead the “Valentine themed” session at the Finchley cricket club today. Starting off with a word search themed A Night In plus lots of pictures and love hearts to colour.
Keren welcomed everyone, and then we were able to announce two new exciting club outings planned for this June and July. These wonderful trips are organised by our fabulous chairman Lisa Rutter.
- Afternoon tea at Lord’s cricket ground and
- our annual day trip to Southend
Today at the club we were able to use the large screen for our session. This enabled us to put up song words so that everyone could sing along together to a love song by Elvis. As there was no exercise instructor today, we had extra time for two new quizzes that Keren had organised.
We played a game of Scatogories, where each table worked together in groups to come up with as many Food and Drink words as possible beginning with the letter M. We then had a fun game of “Human Bingo”!
Well done to the 5 members who won prizes today.
At 3 pm James Le Bec took over the entertainment – singing his heart out and getting us up and dancing as ever.
There were plenty of sandwiches and delicious cakes also provided by Lisa and Mark – Thank you!
Another thank you to our volunteer from the Rotary club – Leonard, also to the new caretaker Steve who made sure everything was safe and ready when we arrived. A really fun afternoon was had by all.
