We had a very busy session today as usual and we also had 3 visitors from Age Exchange- CEO Raj Kapoor, David Savill (Artistic Director) and Rita Seregelyi (Dementia Service Coordinator) Age Exchange is a Reminiscence Arts and dementia charity.
We had some new members today who Lisa welcomed. Keren one of my session leaders also brought her cousin Orli a young student as she wanted to see a dementia club session.
Lisa read out some jokes to start the session and then James one of the carers entertained members with a few of his songs which everyone enjoyed singing along. Richard our Yoga instructor then led members to a fun workout with his usual little jokes in between which everyone loves.
Lisa then introduced a new music entertainer today – Gayle Fraser. We have been testing a few new music entertainers recently and members have been providing feedback to Lisa. Gayle passed the test as she was absolutely amazing and got everyone up and dancing very quickly. The session was a great success. Thank you to our volunteers – Theresa, Angela, Melissa who today was dressed up in advance for Halloween with an orange wig and also thank you to Elaine one of the members who loved to help.
