Today we welcomed 31 members at our first session at the Hendon Golf Club which was very successful. Thank you especially to Gary – the Food and Beverage Manager and his staff for looking after all the members. This was especially appreciated. The tables were beautifully prepared with a plate of delicious cakes and biscuits on each table and the view from the room was amazing – looking out from the patio area onto the beautiful green golf course.
Lisa the Chairman welcomed everyone, and the session was led by Keren who prepared a variety of activities for members to do – word searches, crosswords, colouring , jigsaws and also played Scattergories which is always great fun.
It was then time for some music entertainment with Mike Marandi. Mike knows how to get everyone up and dancing. He sang a variety of well-known songs and a couple of members also sang along to some favourites.
We were also delighted to welcome Doctor Rebecca who from time to time joins us at our various venues and offers to any of the members if they would like their blood pressure checked or their hearing.
Thank you to Keren for leading the session today and also bringing her daughter Lois to volunteer. Thank you, Lois. Thank you also to Valerie (who is one of our Trustees) and Tom from the Rotary Club of Golders Green. We are delighted and proud to be associated with The Rotary Club of Golders Green who continue to offer their support as volunteers.
