It was fantastic to welcome 37 members and carers on this warm and sunny day to our fun and friendly session at Friend In Need today which was run by Faz.
Singing sheets were distributed and we started the session by singing our hearts out to some of our firm favourites including ‘Que Sera Sera’ and ‘You are My Sunshine’ by Doris Day.
Adnan Janoowalla joined us today and being a keen aeroplane enthusiast he brought with him some of his model aeroplanes to show some of our members and also distributed aeroplane themed word searches and colouring sheets to members.
Faz and Adnan ran a game of bingo next with everyone getting involved, 17 Dancing Queen! 35 let’s Jump and Jive….this led us quite smoothly on to our final part of the session!.
We were all jumping and jiving today with our terrific entertainer James Le Bec. James led us straight onto the dance floor with no other than Dancing Queen by Abba. We were having a smashing time and were happily dancing away song after song.
As we cooled down with lots of water James played ‘Roll the dice’ with us all. Members take it in turns to roll a large sponge shaped dice and between us we have to reach a certain number. It was great team work and a superb way to end our session today.
