Today’s session at Finchley Memorial Hospital was led by Keren.
Activities included crosswords, word searches, and colouring for those who preferred a more relaxed start. The week’s theme was cakes, and Keren hosted a fun quiz on this topic. Each participant was given three cards marked A, B, and C, and could hold up the card they thought was the correct answer.
We then moved on to a lively game of bingo – first for a single row, then for a full house – with three prizes won in total.
After that, we had a good old singalong using the song sheets. A big thank you to our wonderful helpers: James and Helen for leading the singing.
Later, Gayle arrived to perform for us, and the afternoon ended on a high note with dancing and plenty of smiles.
We also celebrated some special birthdays – Happy Birthday to Rose, one of our fab carers, and a big Happy 50th to Gayle!
We also want to say a special thank you to our tea and coffee volunteers – Raj, Angela, and Cameron – for keeping everyone refreshed throughout the afternoon.
An extra thank you should go to Joan and Shital helping with moving the tables and setting up, and also to Chairman Lisa for keeping us laughing with her hilarious jokes.
It was a truly enjoyable afternoon for everyone.
