The weather was wet, but the Eversfield Centre was warm and welcoming as members, relatives and volunteers joined the afternoon session of Dementia club UK, organised by Mill Hill Rotary Club.
We have 34 members today. We began as always with refreshments followed by the making of Greetings cards, Christmas cards and birthdays cards. We celebrated Christalla and Anna’s birthdays in the traditional DCUK fashion by singing “Happy Birthday”. (Not forgetting two cakes with firework-like candles).
Then Helen led us in a great singing session followed by Rachel with some gentle and then some more energetic seated exercises .
Before we made our way home, we were reminded that our next meeting on December 6th began earlier at 1pm. Lisa hinted at fantastic entertainment, with music, singing and refreshments. Not to be missed, so get out your best party clothes!
