Today’s session at Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre was full of fun and games, Faz the session leader had laid out a variety of games for our members to play including Connect Four, Scrabble and playing cards. It was great to see everyone engaged and enjoying playing with one another. Whilst we were enjoying drinks and cakes we reminisced about games that we played in our childhood.
Rachel rallied us all together next for an exhilarating and up beat exercise session. There were lots of beaming smiles as we all stretched and moved our bodies to Rachel’s lead.
Helen our hearty singer joined us for the final part of today’s session. We began with a very special birthday sing along for our lovely Olga who was turning 90 this week. Here at DCUK we have a very special tradition, we light a candle on a cake and sing Happy Birthday to our birthday member. We continued the party celebrations in style today, Faz decided to take the dancing outside for a while, it was so liberating to dance together with the sun shining down on us.
