Happy New Year to our 20 joyful members who attended our first session of 2024 at Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre. Today Faz who was running the session asked members to see how many words they could make from the words ‘Happy New Year’. Together many words were found including paper, pear, where, prawn to name a few. How many can you think of?.
Rachel led the group next with a great exercise session. We clapped our hands and swung our arms in the air like monkeys hanging from a tree. Thank you Rachel for creating a wonderful buzz in the cafe this afternoon.
Dr Rebecca kindly attended today’s session and was on hand to take our members blood pressure.
The good vibes continued as Denise joined us today and sang her heart out to us all. Denise, you had us mesmerised with your beautiful voice and kept us dancing away right through to the end of our session.
We warmly thank both of our entertainers Rachel and Denise for their outstanding contributions to today’s session. Likewise our thanks to Keren for all your support today and to Dr Rebecca and to all the staff at the Angel cafe for providing us with drinks today.
Faz ended the session with a reminder that we have our first Barnet Walking Football session at Barnet Copthall next week. This will be from 1:00pm -3:00pm, meeting in the sports hall starting next Tuesday. We are looking forward to having lots of fun at our twice monthly brand new session!.
