We had another wonderful afternoon at Hendon Golf Club this Monday with 37 people in attendance. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and to welcome in such a lively atmosphere.
We began the session with some relaxing colouring activities, and this week Keren, our session leader, also introduced some extra craft materials for those who wanted to make their own bookmarks – a creative and personal touch that some of our members enjoyed. As always, there were Word Searches and Crosswords available for anyone who fancied giving their brain a workout.
The room was then filled with laughter as we played a fun Family Fortunes-style quiz. Everyone marked their own answers and scored points depending on the popularity of their choices read out by Keren. Congratulations to Debs and Brenda, who came out on top as the winners – very well done!
Next up, Eon led a fantastic half-hour exercise session to get everyone moving and stretching. His energy was infectious, and it was lovely to see everyone joining in. After that, Mike entertained us with singing and dancing, keeping spirits high for the rest of the afternoon.
We would like to say a huge thank you to this week’s volunteers, Mike and Lois, who give their time and support so generously. Special thanks also to Dr Rebecca and our Chairman Lisa, whose dedication makes such a difference to these sessions.
Finally, as always, we are so grateful to the staff at Hendon Golf Club for their warm hospitality – and for serving the best cheesecake in town!
It was a truly uplifting afternoon, and we look forward to seeing everyone again at the next session.
