We had 24 members and volunteers attending our wonderful session at Friend In Need which was run by Faz.
Monday 15th September is International Dot Day, a global celebration that encourages creativity, collaboration and courage. With this in mind Faz set a craft activity up using cut out circles to decorate a framed wall art picture. Faz explained the story of how a little girl began by marking a dot on a piece of paper and how this evolved into a journey of self discovery. We discussed how being creative is a good skill that any of us can work on.

Creativity was still on the horizon today as Faz asked our members to make as many words as possible from the letters in the word ‘creativity’, we soon realised that the list was endless!.
Faz also had time to play a quick game of bingo using playing cards. Each member was given 3 playing cards and called out bingo once all their cards were called out.
Eon joined us next and cleverly incorporated stretchy elastic bands into our work out today to work on our upper and lower body. Eon also showed us some original exercises to do including finger strengthening ones that can still be done even if you have arthritis.
Here at DCUK we love to encourage our members to join in the singing and dancing. James Le Bec our very talented singer was on full form with his singing and collaborated with a few of our members to sing one of our favourites, ‘Sweet Caroline’ by Neil Diamond.
The smiles that flow from all the energy and happiness in the room is testament to the hard work that James and Eon inject into our sessions. We thank you both sincerely for the effort that you inject into our sessions.
