It was wonderful to welcome everyone to our twice monthly Barnet Walking Football session.
We started off the session with warm ups which included singing ‘She’ll be coming round the mountain’.
There are some keen pool players in the group who were excited that our Chairman had purchased a larger pool table to use during the sessions.
James Hale made us laugh this afternoon when he demonstrated his twist on indoor golf. James used the putter as a cue to knock the golf ball into the hole. It always brightens our day when we see our members use their creative talents in this way.
Further down the hall there was plenty more creativity going on with our seated members version of ‘beer pong’ using many colourful cups. This has become another popular activity over the months.
Cara joined us during the second half of the session at the Angel Cafe. After being served delicious teas and coffees our members were happily dancing away to beautifully sung songs.
Faz thanked our brilliant Barnet Walking Footballers for all their support during today’s session. Lisa Rutter our Chairman was also given thanks especially for purchasing a new football game and pool table for our members to enjoy playing. We gave thanks to Marcello, Steve and Mike for their help putting together the new games. Last but not least Faz gave warm thanks to Keren for supporting today’s session and ensuring that everyone was well looked after.
